Ondrives.US Bellows couplings comprise two end hubs with set screws or an integral clamp to fasten to a shaft. The flex member of the coupling is hydroformed from tubing to make deep flexible corrugations.  The center bellow coupling unit is mechanically fastened to the hubs.

The corrugations absorb axial forces that are created by thermal expansion as the motor heats up. Stainless steel bellows offset couplings are true backlash free couplings which make them ideal for any motion control application.

These offset bellow couplings allow a superior combination of angular, radial and axial misalignment not found in many other couplings. Ondrives.US bellows couplings have a low moment of inertia, and minimal restoring forces under misalignment. They have excellent kinematic properties and very high torsional stiffness.

Bellow couplings are ideal for use in servo drives, pulse generators, positioning slides, metering valves, velocity control systems and scanners.

Ondrives.US offers Short, Long and Stretched version couplers for various combinations of stiffness, radial compensation and axial motion. They are available with set screw or clamp fastening, bore sizes up to 20mm and peak torque up to 111 in-lbs.  Our Heavy Duty Bellows couplings have peak torques up to 1770 in-lbs and bore size up to 54mm.

Customization is available on these flexible stainless steel bellows couplings. Please contact our application engineers to discuss your particular needs.

Ondrives.US engineers have developed a White Paper “How to select Shaft Couplings” to assist you in the selection of the most appropriate shaft to shaft coupling for your application.
