Operations Engineer
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Education: Bachelors Degree
Preferred Majors: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
Job Summary:
Job Functions:
- Design and oversee manufacturing job flow
- Maintain and improve an on-time production schedule
- Determine and develop methods and operation sequences for tooling, equipment for overall fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of products
- Responsible for coordinating the standardization of test equipment, tooling, and procedures, to support the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.
- Manage machining, outside vendor, and assembly processes.
- Maximize shop efficiency and productivity
- Create First Article Inspections
- Design of tooling for production
- Review of designs and prints
- Assist in some quote preparation
- Handle nonconformance of manufacturing product
- Oversee hiring, training, and retention of manufacturing staff
- Ensure an efficient, safe, and secure work environment.
- Act as the main point of communication for management about shop status
- Maintain an open line of communication with superiors
Skills Required:
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Understand how to read Manufacturing Drawings
- Familiar with inspection tools such as Calipers and Micrometers
- Familiar with CNC operations and programming
- Familiar with ISO Certification
- Well organized
