Beam Couplings

Beam couplings connect rotating shafts and accommodate axial motion and parallel or angular shaft misalignment. They have a low maintenance, one-piece design that provides large misalignment capabilities. Beam couplings are frequently used in low torque applications that do not require excessive operating speeds, though some beam couplings can tolerate high torque applications.
There are several types of beam couplings including flexible, slit, and rigid. Zero Backlash Beam Couplings for Shaft Misalignment

Our beam couplings offer zero backlash and accommodate varying degrees of shaft misalignment and torque requirements. We offer models that can operate at speeds up to 10,000 RPM and provide max torque capacities up to 1240 in. lbs. Customized beam couplings are also available by request.

Spiral BEAM™ Couplings

Our flexible beam couplings are precision machined couplers that compensate for axial, angular and radial misalignment between shafts. They offer zero backlash and up to 7 degrees of angular offset and torques to 1240 inch-lbs. Flexible beam couplings are available in 1-beam, 3-beam and 6-beam options with inch or metric bores.

Servo-BEAM™ Couplings

Patented Servo-Beam™ motor couplings exhibit torsional rigidity, zero backlash, high RPM capability, and superior life. They can operate at up to 10,000 RPM, up to 7 degrees’ angular compensation and with torques up to 300 in-lbs. Available in metal and engineered polymer options.

Step BEAM™ Couplings

Our Step-Beam™ couplings are zero-backlash, shaft-to-shaft misalignment couplings that have straight cut beams that spiral around the coupling. These flexible beam couplings do not wind up when they reverse direction. They are very lightweight, inexpensive and made of a tough grade of Nylon.  Available in many bore combinations. These couplings are electrically isolating.

Slit BEAM™ Couplings

These straight beam shaft couplings have high rigidity and offer high torque and torsional stiffness with zero backlash. They help reduce residual stress in high-speed applications Available in 4-slit and 8-slit coupling options providing max torque up to 354 in-lb.
