Servo applications have precise positioning requirements that are more difficult to achieve with standard gearboxes. Epicyclic gearboxes are a compact and lightweight alternative to standard gear reducers that are designed to increase torque output in servo systems. Epicyclic gearboxes feature three different gear sets arranged to provide even load distribution. This design allows epicyclic gearboxes to transmit high torque loads while producing minimal backlash for improved positioning accuracy. Servo gearboxes reduce load inertia more efficiently and produce less noise than standard gearboxes. These high-precision servo-reducers also provide the high stiffness needed for frequent starting, stopping, and changes in rotation.
