Newly Re-designed P-Series Gearbox improves Backlash, Corrosion Resistance and Center Distance between Input and Outputs!

Set Screw Shaft Collars

Set screw shaft collars have simple, multi-functional designs suitable for various mechanical applications. Use shaft collars to hold bearings on shafts, position motor and gearbox components, or as a mechanical stop. Set screw shaft collars feature screws that allow you to tighten the collar on a shaft. These screws have a cup point to firmly hold the shaft collar on the shaft.

Ondrives.US manufactures precision 303 stainless steel shaft collars and aluminum shaft collars in standard, ball bearing, and four screw styles. We offer a broad range of bore diameters up to 1 inch or 16mm, depending on the style you choose. Modified and custom sizing is also available by request.

Aluminum and Stainless Steel Shaft Collars

Material is an important consideration in mechanical performance. Aluminum shaft collars are lightweight and have a chromic acid anodize finish to prevent oxidation. Precision shaft collars are heavier but more durable than aluminum. All our shaft collars feature stainless steel socket head set screws.

Precision Grade Standard Stainless Steel Shaft Collars

Precision Shaft Collars are made in non-magnetic 303 stainless steel. These stainless steel shaft collars have precision bores held to +.0005” tolerance. Inch and metric bores are available from 5/64” to 16mm.  Precision Shaft Collars are supplied with one set screw and a spot or pre-drill at 90 degrees from the screw. Use the pre-drill to drill through the collar and shaft to install a dowel or spring pin.

Commercial Grade Stainless Steel Shaft Collars

Commercial Shaft Collars are made in non-magnetic 303 stainless steel. These stainless steel shaft collars have commercial bores held to +.0005” tolerance. Inch and metric bores are available from 5/64” to 2-3/8”.  These Shaft Collars are supplied with one set screw.

Ball Bearing Shaft Collars Stainless Steel and Aluminum

Ball Bearing Shaft Collars have one set screw and a pre-drill at 90 degrees. One side of the collar has a small journal designed to mate with the inner race of ball bearings. This permits the collar to preload the ball bearing without interference contact with the outer race of the bearing, eliminating the installation of a shim spacer. Ball bearing shaft collars have precision bores held to +.0005” tolerance. Inch and metric bores are available from 5/64” to 1 inch.

Four Screw Shaft Collars

Four Screw Shaft Collars are supplied with four set screws at 90 degrees apart. They have a looser bore tolerance than our Precision or Ball Bearing Collars and do not have a pre-drill hole for permanent installation.  Four Screw Shaft Collars are generally narrower in width and are supplied in 303 stainless steel or anodized aluminum. Available bore sizes range from 1/8” to 5/8” and from 2.5mm to16mm.
