High Precision Slip Clutches for System Overload Protection

Adjustable friction clutches feature a knurled knob that allows you to make quick and easy torque adjustments by hand. Set your shaft to spin in unison or at different speeds and to control torque for intermittent, continuous, or overload slip.

Fixed Torque Friction Clutches

Fixed torque friction clutches are factory pre-set to the torque specified by the customer. This prevents accidental adjustment of the torque after system installation.

Shaft to Shaft Clutches

Shaft to Shaft Clutches are supplied with set screws for fastening to shafts. Mixed bore size clutches can be provided, and keyway slots are also available.

Component Mount Clutches

Component Mount clutches are supplied with a journal on one end. This design provides for the mounting of gears, sprockets, or pulleys and gives system protection for overload or jams.

Shaft to Shaft Friction Clutch Construction

Shaft to shaft friction clutches are comprised of a series of simple and robust steel clutch plates that engage a hub and friction rings that engage a housing. An adjuster acting through a spring and pressure plate provides tension to the plates and friction rings and can be connected to either the steel inner hub or the aluminum alloy housing.
