Precision Ground Stock - Rough Cut Ends

Precision ground stock has the same shape and provides the same high accuracy as our steel and stainless steel shafting. The only difference is ground stock has a broader length tolerance, and features saw cut ends instead of chamfered ends.

Ground stock costs slightly less than ground shafts and is ideal for those who prefer to do their own modifications. Use precision ground stock for applications that require cutting to other lengths, or where you need to add smaller turned diameters or machine a “D” flat or other modification.

Ground Stock for Power Transmission Applications

Precision Ground from Ondrives.US is ground to high precision and manufactured to ensure precise roundness and extremely straight surfaces. Our ground stock operates smoothly at high speeds for reliable power transmission. The precision design also delivers high accuracy and reduces wear on bearings by preventing vibration.

Uses for precision ground rods include pulleys, ball bearings, gears, couplings, and other rotating components. The stainless-steel construction resists corrosion from water, chemicals, acid, and saltwater for use in a range of operating environments.

Attach your precision ground stock to an Ondrives.US misalignment shaft coupling to reduce wear in high power and high torque applications.
